In March 2006, the Security Industry Authority (SIA) instigated mandatory licensing for operatives working within the security industry. Foreseeing this event, PRIMEprotection established itself as a training provider for the City and Guilds Institute, a world-renowned certifying body. PRIMEprotection is recognised and authorised by the SIA to deliver accredited training which fulfils the SIA licensing application requirements.

In addition to the training required by the SIA for licensing, PRIMEprotection develops and delivers training to enhance the personal development and broaden the marketability of operators and managers in the security industry. Examples of this are courses on Evidence Gathering and Practical Conflict Management including physical intervention and dealing with edged weapons.
